Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride, or UPVC, is a low-maintenance building material commonly used as a substitute for painted wood in window frames and sills when installing double glazing in new structures or replacing older single-glazed windows. Other applications include fascia, siding, and weatherboarding. Waste pipes, drain pipes, guttering, and downpipes are all made of the same material, nearly replacing cast iron in plumbing and drainage. In the home improvement market, these products are commonly referred to as "Roofline."Pipes and fittings made of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (uPVC), often known as rigid PVC, are utilized for all plumbing needs in residential and commercial structures—ideal for looping at each other floor level, outdoor installations, and disguised cold water distribution tubes.
